London: WWII Bomb Found On Gas Pipe

A 2,000lb bomb was unearthed by a a mechanical digger this Monday, near Lea, Bromleyby-Bow where the 2012 Olympic village site is located.

The bomb which is a German made World War two device that has been quietly been in London?s East End, sitting on top of a gas main.

Bomb disposal army officers tried to defuse the 5ft by 2ft bomb which was dropped during a Luftwaffe raid about 65 years ago.

For this operation some underground train lines had to be shut down and a 220 yard exclusion zone was enforced..

Saving Private Ryan - AGAIN

I don’t thing there is anyone out there that does not remember the scene at Omaha beach from the WWII movie “Saving Private Ryan”. It is one of the most well remembered scene of modern cinema and it was as close to the real thing when in 1944 the allied forces stepped in Europe to fight Hitler’s Nazi’s.

Now a group of friends decided to recreate this scene with the aid of CGI.
