US Airforce Graveyard From Google Earth

In Sonora desert, Arizona, a bit outside Tuscon, lies the biggest airplane cemetery in the world. US Airforce base Davis Monthan is where many airplanes go to be scrapped or taken apart for their spare parts
I spotted it on Google Earth and I have to say that I have never seen so many airplanes gathered. I doubt if the people there know exactly how many airplanes there are in this base.
To understand the magnitude of this base, see to what a small dot corresponds.

I include an interactive add on from Google Maps so you can easily zoom in and out.

Pig Powder Grows Finger Back Like Salamanders

Scientists have developed a powder, made from pig tissue, called “pixie dust”, which can be used to re-grow severed members (ie fingers). This dust tends to trick the body to regenerate the missing tissue similarly to a salamander.
First person to try this new technique is US Army Sgt. Shiloh Harris, who lost his finger from a bomb in Iraq.
This regenerative medicine promises to help amputees to regain lost members.

Appendix Removed Via Mouth

Doctors in San Diego, California, have managed to perform a non-invasive appendectomy. This was accomplished by inserting a flexible tube inside a persons mouth and down its stomach. A cut was then made to access the appendix. The appendix is then cut off, bagged and extracted via the mouth. The only side effect is a sore throat! The lucky patient that holds this medical first, is a former US Marine named Jeff Scholtz. This operation benefits from faster recovery and absence of exterior incisions

US Forces Suffer Major Blow From Infected Iraqi Porn DVD’s

A wise man once said:
In a world without walls and fences there is no need for Gates and Windows…
US soldiers in Iraq definitely have to set up some software “walls” in their laptops as many get infected by viruses. The infection, as it is stated in Washington Post, in most cases comes from porn DVD’s that the soldiers buy in Iraqi markets. These bootlegged DVDs contain malicious software that tends to spread from PC to PC when soldiers share these disks between them.
