The Vortex Fountain Combines Art With Cool

William Pye has managed to combine art with cool, with his latest creation Charybdis, ie the Vortex Fountain. It does not shoot water like normal fountains do, instead it creates a huge vortex in its center. The acrylic transparent cylinder and its circularly pumped water will definitely dazzle your neighbors and friends.

In CeBIT expo in Hannover, Germany (4-6th of March), Deutsche Telekom presented their new Entertain package through a huge multitouch transparent screen that reminded of Minority Report.

Transparent Fish Created by Scientists

The zebrafish is genetically similar with humans and its has already stated to be used for studies of the human biology and disease prevention. Scientists at the Children’s Hospital in Boston in their need to see the internal structure of the body, with out the need for equipment, converted the fish DNA to become transparent. [...]
