Selsam’s SuperTurbines Promise Better Efficiency For Wind Farms

Lately a lot has been written in press regarding new renewable systems (1, 2) that promise through their innovation to change our lives. Selsam?s SuperTurbines deliver just that and it probably one of the most promising new ideas. It flows on the idea that the higher you go the faster the wind is, so the higher you place a wind turbine, the higher its efficiency will be. Placing many seven foot single-rotor turbines on a flexible carbon fibre shaft, produces large amounts of power compared to a single conventional rotor of the same size.
Whether its held high with a floating blimp or on a lightweight, flexible shaft, this setup can be deployed at sea.

The simplicity of the gearbox and the whole construction has the potential to deliver fast, simple and low maintenance turbine systems across the globe.
