Minority Report Screen In Germany
In CeBIT expo in Hannover, Germany (4-6th of March), Deutsche Telekom presented their new Entertain package through a huge multitouch transparent screen that reminded of Minority Report.

Eat In 3D Screens
The whole world is looking with great interest the photos of a table with a 3D touchscreen which was published by ScoutJapan. As the site said, restaurant customers can navigate through various dishes.
This table has another interesting function. If for instance you pick up a burger bun then you will see underneath the contents of a cheesburger!
Till now there are no videos of this specific table and the photos can not show you the whole story. Since this table is based on monitors made by TEC Japan (Toshiba) I assume that this will be based on a screen that they presented on CEATEC about 1.5 years ago. See the video below.
Star Wars Mosaic: Last Supper
Lately I bump on to projects that make me wonder how and why they got started. One of these is the recreation of the Last Supper filled with characters from Star Wars. This was done by someone who sat down and took 69,550 screen captures from Star Wars movies and with in two weeks (and with the help of the right software) he managed to complete his very original work that has a size of 24,168 x 10,864 pixels.
ShadowReaching For Touch Screen Wall Displays
Students from British Columbia, Canada, presented a very interesting idea regarding the interaction with Wall Displays. Since we would need a ladder to interact with a gigantic touch screen wall display, they invented Shadow Reaching.
It seems very interesting, although it might have some problems in the presence of strong light.
