MapJack Beats Google Maps!

I remember how excited I was when I first saw Streetview (Google Maps). Some times I browsed through the streets of America to find something strange to participate in all those unofficial contests with funny pictures taken by the Google camera.
I never paid much attention to the quality of the pictures. I thought with a project of this magnitude that high quality was not possible.
Till I saw MapJack. A small group with cheap equipment from Radio Shack and some knowledge in hardware and software managed to create something better than Google!

Till now the cities that are included are the San Francisco (America) and Chiang Mai (Thailand) and as they say they are waiting sponsors to cover more cities.

Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Empire, an American magazine, published the above photo from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the crystal skull (which will be in cinemas on the 22th of May.
You can see a better quality version of this photo here. I do not know what is more ridiculous, the strange weapon, the look of the co-starrs or Indiana Jones aged hand or the whole 80’s look;
Although I am a big fan of the first 3 movies, the 4th Indiana Jones hasn’t persuaded me yet. I hope I am wrong, in 4 months we will know ![]()
Till now everybody is waiting for the trailer to come out. Because people cannot wait, they have started to make their own
See the an example video below.

Cool Green Adverts
It is said that advertisers these days have lost their inspiration and their desire for quality. Sometimes its is true, we walk in the street and we see all kinds of bad taste examples that makes you wonder “What were they thinking?”
BUT there are some exceptions of very talented advertisers that really have inspiration. Combined with a good subject then they create ads that really not only turn heads but also create awareness of the things the destroy us and our planet.
Have a look at some of the best ads that are out there:
1. Advert posted on the wall of a swimming pool to alert us of the effect of global warming

2. Greenpeace shows us what should be on top of our minds for 2007: “Don’t let this be our future. Save our rain forest, stop global warming”.

3. Another take on global warming: “Winter: you will miss it when it’s gone”

4. WWF goes on an anti pollution campaign to remind us of the state of our rivers and that we caused it.

5. Greenpeace strikes again this time in China to remind people that each piece of paper comes from trees.

6. This time a UNICEF puts us in a perspective of what the lack of fresh/clean water equals to.
