I am quite tempted to recreate the experiment in the videos below. a group of four friends placed 4 phones facing each other, and in the middle of everything they placed corn seeds.

They later called those phones and the result was that the seeds became pop corn, i.e. they got cooked. Not sure if this is some sort of a hoax/viral ad or not but its worth a try. If this experiment is true and mobile pones can cook corn seeds then imagine what they are doing to your brain.

Below there are two different videos of the same experiment

Its seems that the latest gadget will be the mini-projector. 3M is the company behind this technology and Samsung seems to be the first of their customers that will place this on their mobile phones. This of course will come with a price. It is expected that this will add up $200 - $400 to the cost of the phone.

The trend in mobile phone design is “the smaller the better” but today if you want to be famous you need to do something different. Mr Tan from Songyuan, China, made a 22 Kilo cell phone!

This beast weighs 621 times more than the prototype he used and it is amount a meter tall. It does everything that a normal mobile phone does, including taking pictures.

It took him about a year to construct it and he hopes that this might have a chance to go into the Guinness book of records, but I am not sure if it will as its not really mobile…it needs to be plugged in to the mains supply to work :)

Till now I never bothered to examine how much modern TV shows depend on new technology. Students from the College Humor thought of showing us how 24 would look like if it was filmed in 1994.

Just have a look at it. It all starts from Chloe calling Jack, who of course des not have a cell phone! :)
