We have seen from time to time a range of things that you can do with a Wii. This time someone has applied the Wii remote to make an automatic curtain opening system. I am not sure if he is going to patent it and how much he is selling it for but I would not mind having such a gadget :)

wii-inventor

An American, Pat Goschy, claims that since 1999 he had invented the technology behind today’s Nintendo Wii and its remote (Wiimote). With two patents registered in 1999, when he was working in Midway, he states that the thing that has the whole world mad is his inspiration.

See the video of “His Wii” in action, which for 1999 its quite impressive :)

Peter Krnokrak, from Canada, created a toilet seat that changes colour as temperature varies.

There are many that seek this patent to be applied to public toilets so that they can wait till the seat no longer has the heat from the previous user’s butt :)

Future iPod will control the volume level

A new rumor is spreading fast all over the internet. According to some publications Apple filed a patent in which iPod will auto-adjust the music volume with sole purpose to protect your ears!

The louder you set the volume the less iPod will let you listen, ie if you set the volume at 100% then iPod will lower the volume to the safest level for one hour. After the hour passes the sound drops more etc.

When you cannot hear properly iPod will start increasing the volume according to whether your ears are rested or not.

I am not so sure if this will be on permanent base or if it will be a successful move. I guess there will be a switch where the user can remove this automatic feature and allow the user to listen to his music full blast at his own risk.

This trick will not work thought for us elder folks as we have damaged our ears by listening music on our old Walkman at full blast. The younger generation may have more durable ears, adapting after all its all part of human evolution.
