An American, Pat Goschy, claims that since 1999 he had invented the technology behind today’s Nintendo Wii and its remote (Wiimote). With two patents registered in 1999, when he was working in Midway, he states that the thing that has the whole world mad is his inspiration.

This Nintendo Wii has inspired a lot of people. This time they decided to create a screen-ring (full 360 degrees) to play Quake III. You are literally inside the Arena and the Quake world is all around you, until you get dizzy

How to create Virtual Reality with a Wii

Johnny Chung Lee from Carnegie Mellon University found a cool way to use the Wii remote to create a virtual reality world! The only thing that remains to be seen is if Nintendo will hear the voices of their clients and actually hire Johnny for his incredible patent.
