How does your site/blog’s look like?

Mr. Sala, an artist, programmed an HTML Graph Applet that converts your site’s code into a graphical structure. So far more than 1,000,000 graphs have been created since this interesting applet went online.

After finding out about Mr. Sala’s Applet I decided to give it a go. So the site image for internetakias.gr/english is below…

The image for the Greek version of this site is below…

QR: Why not on every magazine?

January 1, 2008 · Filed Under News, Technology · Comment

spektacle1

Spektacle boast to be the first QR magazine in teh world. QR is a little square barcode that exists for many years now and lately is used in conjunction with mobile (camera) phones which, with the right program, can decode it.

One of the most well known uses of QR is for internet addresses. For instance the following QR means http://www.internetakias.gr/english/ (it was generated at http://qrcode.kaywa.com, a QR generator)

qr

If you had installed on your mobile phone the QR recognition application it will read it and take you straight to that address (a well known QR recognition program for your mobile phone is i-nigma)

qr-mag-1

Spektacle is published every 2 months and is the only one that uses QR codes. This magazine is only useful to someone who uses QR codes on his mobile. If thought you are a QR fan then by buying the magazine you get new things to read for 2 months, straight on your mobile phone, just pointing at the QR.

You can buy the magazine in electronic form7,5 GBP or printed from here.

Optimus tactus - The Ultimate Keyboard

January 1, 2008 · Filed Under News, Technology · Comment

optimus-tactus

A while ago Art.Lebedev designed an “ideal” keyboard named Optimus Maximus in which every button was a small LED display. Even thought it was a bit advanced for its time, Art.Lebedev managed to bring it to life and end up selling it for 370 euros a piece.

Today Art.Lebedev presents us with optimus tactus. A keyboard which is an entire touch display.

optimus-tactus-2

This keyboard does not have “ordinary” push buttons and that translates to that there is no size limit. This means that you can design the keyboard the way you want it ie. you can just have one huge button to take you directly to internetakias.gr/english :P.

You can also use the keyboard to play somewhere on it a video. Although I am not sure how handy that would be?.
