Hydropolis: Underwater Hotel In Dubai
Well its seems that Dubai wants to become the capital of the world. They are gathering style, innovation and money in to this sand circled city. Dubai’s newest headline capturing building is the Hydropolis, an underground luxury hotel.
The hotel, which is currently under construction will feature a connecting tunnel back to the surface along with 220 suites. It covers 260 hectares of underwater land and it bound to be one of Dubai’s most popular places.

Dubai: New Opera House And Cultural Centre
The famous architect, Zaha Hadid, shows her talent again by designing the new opera house and cultural centre for Dubai. It is a huge building, as with most that are in Dubai, and it is dune-shaped. It will be placed on an island off Dubai Creek and it will house the opera (2,500 seats), playhouse (800 seats), arts gallery (5,000 sq. meter), performing arts school and a 6 star themed hotel. The new opera house and cultural centre for Dubai will be connected to central Dubai by a road connection to the mainland.

The "Death Star" In Azerbaijan
In Baku, Azerbaijan, they are preparing to construct the Full Moon Rising hotel or as it is unofficially known …the ?Death Star? since the design does remind us of the famous Star Wars space station that destroyed planets.
It will be 150 meters tall and it will have 382 rooms! It will be designed by Hareem Architects and it will be one of the two futuristic hotels that will be built in the area. From what I see from the following video it seems that Dubai will soon have a strong competition.
Naked Lindsay Lohan causes NYMag site to Crash
Lindsay Lohan decided to remove all her cloths (almost all) and have her picture taken like Marilyn Monroe. NYMag which was in charge of the shooting, hired the same photographer that 30-40 years ago took Merilyn’s picture and even went to the same hotel.The photos will be published in next weeks magazine but some of them have already been available online from the NYMag website. This caused a traffic overload as many peeping toms rushed to enjoy the tragic-rehab-Lindsey.

Dubai’s fashion island
Dubai Infinity Holdings (the people behind all this island creations in Dubai) decided to create a fashion island which will be located inside “The World” complex.
This island will be the center of fashion with specially designed housed, famous brands, catwalks, designer houses and luxury hotels. They hope to make it equal in fame and style to Paris and Milan. The exact position of this island has not yet been verified but it is expected to be in a central point of “The World” so it will be in easy reach from other islands
Comedian lives in IKEA
The comedian and filmmaker of “171 Starbucks”, Mark Malkoff, managed to surprise us this time by moving in an IKEA store in Paramus, N.J. for one whole week. This idea came to him as his apartment was under fumigation to get rid of the cockroaches and he could not not afford a hotel nor could stay at his friends small studio flats.
So, after contacting the IKEA manager to get their permission he moved in with his camera crew and started documenting his new adventure. Details of his every day routine can be found at his web site here.
Till now the only problem that he is facing is that everything in the showroom is fake. Washing machine, sink, toilet etc are all decorative items so he is forced to use the staff locker room and the staff cafeteria as his kitchen in order to cook.
