Glenn Martin, spend 27 years of his life to fulfill the dream of thousands out there, to design a working jetpack!

He showed his creation to the world at the EAA AirVenture, where the jetpack helped his 16 year old son hover 3 feet of the ground for 45 seconds. The current specs of this flying machine include a gas-powered, V-4 piston engine and two ducted fans, that lift its pilot 8,000 feet up in the air for 30 minutes.

If you are interested in buying this device then be prepared to fork out at least $100,000.

Bex, Switzerland: The ex air force - and current Swiss International Airways - pilot, Yves Rossy flew over the Alps with, his own invention, the rocket propelled wings.

Fusion Man, as he is called in his home town, flew his self made device on Wednesday after years of planning and a $190,000 so far budget that was payed by both Rossy and his generous sponsors. The flight started at 7,500 feet and he reached speeds of up to 186 miles per hour.

He now hopes he repeats this feat by flying the English Channel and the Grand Canyon.

People once said that we would all have flying vehicles to move about for our everyday business. So far this was a dream, but now the Falx Salker is here to change this. It is a Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft that is roughly the size of a car.

It has a hybrid electric engine system that combines the solar energy with a 100hp motor that achieves a 10 liters per hour of flight fuel economy. The company, Falx Air Vehicles, expects to get certification for these airplanes some time during the next 3 years.

antigravity

This is a new gadget that will offer you a unique experience, but you need to tolerate all the weird looks form the people that pass you by in the street wondering about your mental state!

These antigravity boots are the most economic (at the moment) thing to make you feel how it is on the surface of the moon or something. You do not actually fly but your footsteps are lighter and you can hop around.

Their price is 95 GBP…if you are interested.

Nevertheless Zara in the video below did not manage to experience the antigravity effect :(

During the Mid 80’s 3 Sky Commuter aircrafts were build by Boing engineers with the support of dozens of investors who coughed up the sum of $6,000,000 to design it.

One of those aircraft is on sale in Ebay in an auction that ends in 2 hours! The specific aircraft was used in few demonstrations to promote the company which shut down a few months after it started :(

Initially this aircraft was designed as a car alternative and its aim was to be able to fly anywhere and also to drive like a car. From what I understand it must have not be good at:)

The auction is going rather well and so far with 61 bids on it and at $57,100. 2 hours remain so if you are interested go ahead and bid here
