Yale Publishes the 2008 Environmental Performance Index

Yale published a list with counties’ ranking according their EPI ( Environmental Performance index) for 2008.
The EPI is calculated with 25 criteria that belong in 6 categories such as the atmospheric pollution, climate change, environmental health etc. So, depending on how eco-friendly a country is, depends how many point are awarded.

Today I found out that Cyprus is facing a major water shortage issue. According to the data there is only enough water on the island for two more months! Water desalination and import from other countries is a solution that the government is now thinking.
