Today I learned two things. First the new Cuban president allows his citizens to have electronic equipment and second is that till now it was not allowed. Only companies and foreigners were allowed to have a TV and a computer. All DVD’s were held in customs.

The new president made this move, according to Reuters, to bring his people closer to him. Every Cuban can now own a Plasma TV and if they survive the cultural shock then they can try buying a computer.

To get an Air Condition they need to wait a bit due to the high demand in electricity.
