wikileaks

The wikileaks is a wiki website which allows anyone to publish anonymously documents that may prove illegal activities of companies and governments worldwide.

From time to time it has been the center of media since many scandals had been reveled through its thousands of users. Few days ago the Court of California ordered Dynadot that controls wikileaks.org to erase it from its servers. The reason was a lawsuit made from a Swiss bank which according to wikileaks it was used to launder money. Instead of serving a fine to wikileaks or an order to remove the documents in question etc, they decided to discontinue the service of the domain.

Wikileaks may not be accessible anymore but it can still be found through its IP http://88.80.13.160. Unfortunately, I think though this act they have found a way to battle “successfully” such revelations.

Bad news for Rapidshare as the Dusseldorf court in Germany ordered the immediate block of all illegal (copyrighted) files within the site.

I do not know how fast this new ban will be but at this moment Rapidshare is one of the most popular download hosts. As we know it is very difficult to control and check millions of submitted files so the future of Rapidshare is not looking good. After all Rapidshare’s reputation grew from the existence of illegal files in it.

Lets see what will happens!
