235mpg From Volkswagen: Thats Fuel Economy!
Volkswagen goes ahead in the lead for the most fuel efficient car. They resurrected a 6 year old project, called One-Liter Car, that is able to achieve up to 235mpg. To bring things into perspective an ordinary family size car, can do 30-40mpg. This is good news for the consumers, especially now that oil prices continue to rise for no reason. The new car is highly aerodynamic and made from carbon fiber to minimize weight. The car is expected to reach production stage in 2010

Huvo Car can actually play Wii Fit!
Topia Corp presented at the 19th Design Engineering and Manufacturing Solutions Expo an electric vehicle calle "HUVO" that weights only 330lb! According to the company, if a car of the same size a HUVO was made with existing standard, its weight would be about 300kg, twice as HUVO’s
The materials used for HUVO were high-tensile steel plate, aluminum alloy, carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), polycarbonate, and ABS resin.
At least, at this weight, HUVO can stand on Wii Board without trouble as it is on Wii’s weight limits

The person you see in the photo licking the car is 57 year old Edward Smith, who openly declares that he makes love with cars! He says that he gets excited with movies such as The Love Bug and Knight Rider and that he even writes songs and poems for them.

Foam Made Car Attracts Crowds In Lithuania
Believe it or not the car in the picture above is made from Polyurethane foam. The Lithuanian artist used the foam and some cardboard to create the initial shape of the car. When it became hard he sculpted, sanded, primed, and eventually painted the foam.
The car that was used as a frame must have been a Mercedes of some sort. I doubt if this car ever makes production or even sold, but its definitely a nice try! Check the rest of the pictures here.
