The Tree Of Life

The tree of life is a bit different than most other trees so far. Lets zoom on it:

It was created in 1999 and it is located in Animal Kingdom, one of the 4 theme park of Disney in Florida. It is 44 meters tall and it is made from a refitted oil rig. On the tree trunk there are 325 carved animals and it is based on Rafiki, the tree from Lion King.

An American, Pat Goschy, claims that since 1999 he had invented the technology behind today’s Nintendo Wii and its remote (Wiimote). With two patents registered in 1999, when he was working in Midway, he states that the thing that has the whole world mad is his inspiration.

Seti@home wants your help

Seti@home is something that you might have heard before. It was aired on May 1999 and its a processing project of radio signals through Internet with sole purpose to search alien life. In this project anyone can participate by downloading a small application that borrows some of your processing power to help analyze these signals.
Things are not going so well lately and the people behind Seti at home are asking for participation to the program to increase five-fold. Now they have 350,000 computers linked up but they are not enough to process the vast amount of data that is received. By downloading a program called Boinc from here, you can participate on other similar projects.
Attention! Do not try to decode on your own the signals that your PC is processing because you might go mad. See the video below and you will know why.
