I think everyone has used Google Earth once or more. The first destination? Our home. Job, Friends’ homes, international Landscapes etc are the next stops.

Some of us use Google Earth for more serious reasons and some others have accidentally stumbled upon great discoveries,

While searching for this post i realized that Google Earth could be a great tool for Archaeologists and Geologists. But! If some scientific knowledge is involved while surfing the Earth  , some major discoveries could surface.

dogs-saying-i-love-you

I recently discovered some youtube videos with people trying to make their dogs say things. The most popular dog phrase seems to be the “I love you”. There are hundreds of such videos.

In some of them the dog really tries to say something like “I love you”, in some others the dog just wants its master to shut up :) In both cases the videos are just great :)

Enjoy the best of them :)

It seems that the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) scheme has found a major rival. Academics from the Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore) and the Indian Institute of Technology (Madras) have started work to create a $10 laptop for poor kids. If it is successful then it will be a major blow to the OLPC scheme that has reached a cost of $188 per device as opposed to the $100 it was initially advertised.

Youtube guys finally decided to move the video clip of Avril Lavigne’s song Girlfriend to the top of the youtube all time most viewed videos.

Since Thursday the video had more views than the “Evolution of Dance” but for some reasons it was on the second place. Many thought that this was due to the fact that there was an unofficial fan campaign to bring the video on the top with many refreshes and duplicate hits.

It seems that youtube changed its mind and now Girlfriend is on the top of the list :)

Well done Avril :)
