S.P.A.M. - The Experiment

Do you remember “Super Size me”, the documenter by Morgan Spurlock, who ate for 30 days only fast food and he nearly damaged his health? A concept similar to that is inside the “S.P.A.M. (Spammed Persistently All Month ) experiment” in which 50 volunteers from 10 countries will spend 30 days in spam.
Spam has entered our lives for good and those behind it always try to be a step ahead.
The S.P.A.M. experiment is a McAfee viral to show us the financial impact of Spam in a business and in our lives. The volunteers were instructed to participate by entering their personal data everywhere, something that none in right mind dares to do.
Every volunteer has his own blog where you can see details of their Spam experience.
The results from the experiment are very interesting. Within 30 days teh 10 volunteers received 104,000 spam mails (about 70 mails each per day). Many of them reported poor PC performance, probably due to malwares.
From the mails a great percentage where phishing, others packed with virus and others with malware programs.
