Chase is a 3 years cat. When she was 3-6 weeks old, in June 2005, she was hit by a car and left in the road. After a couple of days a young man brought Chase to the Chevy Chase Animal Clinic where Melissa Smith took care of her.

Chase ended up having a back leg amputated and over the summer her nose, eyelids, and skin from her face sloughed off from the trauma of the accident. After two unsuccessful plastic surgeries Chase has to get use of living looking different than the other kitties. Chase is not in any pain and I can say that although scary at first time, if you read her blog, you’ll see that she is adorable :)
