Firefox 3: Let’s Break The Guinness World Record For The Most Downloads In A Day

Today is the day that not only Firefox 3 is officially released but its also the day that everybody is trying to break Guinness World Record for the most software downloaded on a single day. So go on, download the new browser from here, and take part in something big.
The latest update said:
Mozilla.com web traffic is pushing well over 2 Gigabits a second of just pure HTTP traffic. That is in addition to the 13 Gigabits a second or so of download traffic. We are still at around 14,000 download/minute and mozilla.com is responding well! Go Mozilla community and IT team!
Update: Firefox claims that 8 million copies downloaded in the first 24 hours and so far 14 million people have downloaded the new version. The official response from the Guinness people is not out but you can monitor the stats here.
Update 2: Guinness officials accepted Mozilla?s final count of 8,002,530 downloads (first 24 hours)

Firefox 3 definitely looks better although it did freeze a few times. Nevertheless I am 100% behind the Firefox project. Its less of a headache than i.e.

IE sucks, and Firefox 3 is definitely quicker.
