I just came across a set of pictures of a wedding that took place during the 8 Richter Sichuan earthquake, China. The couple and their guests were extremely lucky to have survived this horrible event that has taken the life’s of 65,000 people and left many more injured and homeless.
The 100 year old Church of the Annunciation, where the wedding was planned to take place, turned into rubble.
The calmness of the photographer ensured that these shocking pictures go around the world so that people, thousand miles away, realise the devastation and hopefully contribute as much as they can to help the victims. Do not be surprised if the photographer wins this years Pulitzer prize.
