Monday, May 26, 2008 18:10
In a few hours 64 year old French skydiver Michel Fournier will attempt to break a world record. He will climb up to 40 kilometers, in a balloon, above Canada and will jump!
This jump will take place at an altitude about 4 times higher than commercial airplanes fly at.

North Battleford, in Saskatchewan, is all geared up to send the balloon with Fournier inside high up in the stratosphere.
He will be equipped with a special suit that will keep him at a constant pressure and enable him to withstand temperatures of -100 Celsius. During the descent he will be travelling at 1,500 km/h.
The records that he is aiming to break are:
1. Fastest free fall
2. Longest free fall
3. Highest jump
4. Highest altitude reached by a man in a balloon.
Good Luck Michael
