I am not sure if this falls under the torture category or its just another “discipline aid” conceived by some disturbed mind. China apparently takes perfection seriously when it comes for its international image. Hence for the Olympics they are training (?) their military personnel, to stand in perfect attention, and inline by using pins in their collars and wooden crosses tied on their backs. Not sure if it will make any difference if people are not 100% in attention or not perfectly aligned, after all when we are going to watch the Olympics we will be looking at the games not the “decoration” around them.
