Carnegie Mellon University is running a project for the design of robotic snakes.

These are robots that can imitate a snakes movements and has the ability to reach in places where a human as well as other robotic systems cannot. Its quite impressive to consider that these are quite adaptable to their environment.

Till now they have made 6 robots and the newest team member also has snake skin!
