Mediterranean sea levels are rising rapidly
Monday, January 21, 2008 23:29
Scientists are expecting the Mediterranean sea levels to rise to about 81 cm in the next 100 years. The SOI (Spanish Oceanographic Institute) research showed that since the 90’s the sea is rising sea levels have been rising the rate of 2.5 to 10 mm per year. Even the temperature of the water is increasing by 0.12 to 0.5C.
As we are told lately, global climate change is to blame. The extra water?…it comes from the Polar Ice melting…
Isn’t time for us to stop thinking about it and start doing?
