Sketch furniture with your finger

A Swedish company called Front designed a range of furniture by using their finger! This is made possible by using an innovative software that tracks the “free-draw” finger movements and turns them into real furniture.

The hand movement is recorded as a 3D file which is then converted through the help of Rapid Prototyping in real furniture within few hours. The material that is used is a liquid plastic that turns into solid when a laser beam strikes upon it, hence taking the form that we want.
