Egypt will copyright the pyramids
Thursday, December 27, 2007 16:26
Egyptian government’s latest move is to try to copyright the pyramids and anything else Egyptian. The purpose of this move aims to the financial exploitation that arises from the reproduction (on any scale) of Egyptian monuments. If this actually goes through there will be a lot of surprises worldwide not to mention that other countries will find legal ground to step on and copyright their monuments too. None is yet sure what the fees will be from various hotels around the world that use Egyptian themes but its is expected to bring a lot of money to the government ![]()
