Christmas on Christmas Island

Christmas Island was named by Captain William Mynors who discovered it on Christmas day in 1643. The island is famous not only for its name but also for the annual red crab migration (100 million crabs) from inland to teh coast for reproduction.


As its is one of the first regions in the world were the day changes, it already Christmas over there. Well Merry Christmas to them even thought the population majority is Buddhists and Muslims ![]()
