Dede - The Sad Tree Man

Dede is a 35 year old fisherman from Indonesia. A few years ago he had an accident and he cut his knee. Since then something strange is going on with his body… he is getting roots!
I think this is the most scary and disgusting think I have ever seen 
Hopefully for Dede the Indonesian government, after the publicity of the subject, decided to support Dede with the top country;s doctors. They say that Dede should be optimistic
Dede lives a nightmare. He can’t find a job, his wive left him and he had to take part in freak shows in order to have some money to survive. He can’t even hug his two children :(I Hope that they will soon find a cure for this human.

hello. i cant believe that young man has not been helped yet. we (usa) should pay for his flight to america and doctors should do whatever it takes to correct this terrible condition.
it is not fair and completely inhumane to let this man keep living untreated with this disease.

This is sad. It wasn’t until I saw the advertisment on TLC, that I even realized such a story existed. I truly hope all is well for this man, or will be. This being said, Tiffany eve west,your compassion is admirable, but you seem to be one of many who want to rescue the world. My offering is this, there ARE other countries who are just as medically advanced as us, if not more. This being said, I would like to point out that there are millions of Americans right here who work, and still cannot get health care. So, how is it that we ought to take care of everyone else? If we want to continue to intervene in the affairs of others, it would be in our own best interest to take the best care we can of ourselves. Otherwise, the US, will be as useful as a drug addicted parent is to their children, in helping the rest of the world to “grow and prosper”Just a thought.

He is being helped. You’d know that if you researched it a bit more. US doctors discovered that it can be reduced greatly and stop new growths by giving him large doses of Vitamin A. There’s a new video of him being able to move his hands, and while there’s still a long way to go with the treatment, he seems a lot happier and looks better too. Poor guy, wish him all the best.
And no, the US government does not (and should not) have a obligation to provide other countries with medical care…but we as a human race are obligated to take care of each other regardless of what country we make our home in.

You know, we bitch and complain about the most petty things in our daily lives. We can’t stand our boss or our jobs, my kids don’t respect me, I’m tired of being broke and stressed out. Well my God!! Think what this man goes through, but he still smiles during the interview. We should all take a friggin life lesson from him.

In response to Pam K. I’m amazed to see that hundreds of years of medical research has been unable to cure cancer ,and tey you have hidden it remarkably well right under our very noses. Who would have guessed that ordinary lemon juice could be the godsent remedy we humans have longed for . And the use of carcinogen laden insecticides as a form of home-brewed chemotherapy is shear brilliance. I should have read my texts more closely,I was unaware that cancer is actually a parasite,silly expensive,written by learned scholars-textbooks!
